The American Amputee Soccer Association (AASA) was proud to host an amputee soccer clinic at the Move United Education Conference, bringing the sport to a wider audience of adaptive athletes and program leaders from across the country. The clinic was hosted by U.S. national players, Sarah Evans, Nico Calabria and Jovan Booker.

Held as part of one of the nation’s largest adaptive sports gatherings, this clinic provided a unique opportunity to introduce amputee soccer to both participants and decision-makers. From athletes trying the sport for the first time to program directors looking to expand their offerings, the energy and curiosity were electric.

Participants got hands-on experience with the game — from using forearm crutches to learning positioning, passing, and shooting techniques. But beyond the skills, the clinic demonstrated what amputee soccer truly offers: empowerment, community, and a new way to compete.

Move United, the largest adaptive sports organization in the U.S., has long championed inclusive athletic opportunities, and the AASA is thrilled to collaborate in expanding the reach of amputee soccer. With their support — and the enthusiasm shown by everyone at the clinic — we’re confident this sport is on its way to new cities, new programs, and new players nationwide.

A heartfelt thank you to all the clinic participants and the entire Move United community. This is how we grow the game — together.
