U.S. Men's National Amputee Soccer Team Clinches Historic Title at Inaugural Guatemala Friendly Tournament

The U.S. Men's National Amputee Soccer Team captured first place at the first-ever International Amputee Football Regional Friendly Tournament in Guatemala, backed by the World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) in partnership with the FIFA Foundation. The championship marks the first tournament victory under head coach Jason Fiscina.

Match 4: U.S. 2 – 0 El Salvador

The tournament culminated in a hard-fought rematch against El Salvador, the team the U.S. defeated with a stoppage-time goal during qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The U.S. squad locked down the rematch 2-0 to secure the trophy without conceding a single goal across the entire event.

Golden Boot: Liam Fanning earned top-scorer honors with 5 goals in 4 games, scoring his first international goal and recording his first international hat trick during the run.
Golden Glove: Goalkeeper Ermin Omerovic took home top goalkeeper honors after posting four consecutive shutouts, allowing zero goals across the competition.
National Team Debuts: Gavin Johnson, Tommy Schweinitz, and Owen Moerdyke made their official U.S. national team debuts.
First International Goals: Both Gavin Johnson and Owen Moerdyke netted their first career goals for the national team.
