When the stadium lights came on at Gillette Stadium, something historic unfolded that went far beyond the final score. For just the second time in U.S. history, a full amputee soccer match was played at a major American sports venue. The iconic field where NFL legends once dominated became the stage for a different kind of greatness — one fueled by resilience, passion, and community.
"Under the Lights" is a short documentary that captures this landmark moment, highlighting the New England Revolution Amputee Soccer Team’s clash with Metro NY Amputee Soccer. Played immediately after the MLS showdown between the New England Revolution and NYCFC, the match gave thousands of fans a chance to witness the energy and athleticism of amputee soccer on a national stage.

The documentary follows the players from warmups through the final whistle, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation, teamwork, and pride that goes into every match. It also speaks to something larger — the importance of visibility, inclusion, and creating more spaces where adaptive athletes can shine.

This wasn’t just a game. It was a statement. A celebration of talent, resilience, and a growing movement.
