Something historic is coming to the North Star State.

On Saturday, May 16, Minnesota will officially mark a new chapter in its rich sports history. In a powerful collaboration between Minnesota United FC, the American Amputee Soccer Association (AASA), and the National Sports Center, we are proud to invite you to the inaugural Minnesota Amputee FC Soccer Clinic.

Learn from the Best

The clinic will be led by Nico Calabria, captain of the U.S. Men’s National Amputee Soccer Team. As a pioneer of the sport and an elite global competitor, Nico brings a wealth of knowledge that spans from the grassroots level to the World Cup stage.

Under his guidance, athletes will be introduced to the essential fundamentals of the game:

  • Crutch Technique: Mastering mobility and balance on forearm crutches.

  • Ball Control: Developing precision and power with a single limb.

  • Game Play: Understanding the unique 7v7 strategic flow of amputee soccer.

A Community for Everyone

Amputee soccer is about more than just the score—it's about connection, resilience, and the joy of the game. We want to ensure that everyone feels welcome on the pitch:

  • All Athletes: We invite individuals with limb differences of all ages, genders, and skill levels. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or have never kicked a ball, this is for you.

  • No Experience Needed: We provide the environment and the expertise; you just bring the energy.

  • Supporters & Allies: We also welcome family members, non-amputee athletes, and fans who want to learn about the sport and help us grow this community across the Midwest.
