The American Amputee Soccer Association (AASA) is proud to announce an opening for the position of Head Coach for the US Women’s National Amputee Soccer Team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of adaptive sports and lead a dedicated group of athletes on the international stage.
Our Mission
The AASA operates with a dual mission. First, we are dedicated to promoting and developing soccer for participants with limb differences at all levels, from juniors to adults. We strive to help players build self-confidence, learn teamwork, and establish strong social networks through local outreach. Our second mission is the pursuit of excellence: selecting, developing, and training elite amputee soccer athletes to represent the United States in international competition.
The Role: Head Coach
As the Head Coach, you will be the driving force behind the cultivation and growth of women’s and girls’ amputee soccer in the US. Your responsibilities will include:
Organizing and directing the coaching staff.
Overseeing player development through in-person training camps and remote
year-round coaching.
Managing national team camps, including logistics and athlete identification.
Leading recruitment efforts and collaborating with regional affiliates to discover
new talent.
Ensuring the US remains competitive at the sport’s highest level.
Compensation & Support
The AASA is committed to supporting our leadership. A monthly stipend is available, with the amount commensurate with the candidate's professional experience. Additionally, the association provides transportation, lodging, and meals for all sanctioned training camps and competitions. This position reports directly to the President and requires a leader who is passionate about athlete proficiency and the expansion of the AASA Women’s Program.
