It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a remarkable individual, athlete, and family man, Mauricio Trejo, who left us on June 10, 2026. Mauricio was a cornerstone of our community, inspiring everyone who had the privilege of knowing him or watching him play.
A Champion On and Off the Pitch
Mauricio was the embodiment of hard work and relentless dedication. He played with immense pride and passion for both the Chicago Amputee Soccer Club and the U.S. National Amputee Soccer Team. On the field, he was a fierce competitor who gave everything to the game. Off the field, he brought that same level of commitment, strength, and integrity to every aspect of his life.
A Devoted Family Man
While soccer was a major part of his journey, Mauricio’s greatest joy and deepest devotion belonged to his family. He was a loving husband and a dedicated father, always putting his family first and working tirelessly to provide for and protect the ones he loved.
