A Historic Kickoff: Minnesota Amputee FC Launches First-Ever Soccer Clinic

On May 16, history was made on the pitch in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Amputee FC officially launched its first-ever amputee soccer clinic, and the energy was absolutely electric. More than 30 athletes, supporters, coaches, and community partners showed up to witness and participate in the beginning of something truly special for adaptive sports in our state.

From Fundamentals to Full Scrimmage

The day was led by Team USA legend Nico Calabria, who brought world-class expertise and unmatched passion to the field. Participants jumped straight into the fundamentals of the sport, learning crutch work, ball control, and shooting mechanics before putting their new skills to the test in a high-energy full-field scrimmage.

The entire afternoon was filled with joy, competitive spirit, and the kind of community connection that reminds us exactly why adaptive sports matter.

Building a movement from the ground up requires a team effort, and our attendees are the heart of that mission. As our leadership team shared on the morning of the clinic:
