Alvenso Honore
Goalkeeper
Alvenso has been playing soccer for 24 years and joined the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team in 2016. He lost part of his right arm at age 17 to a rare tumor. In addition to amputee soccer, Alvenso plays semi-professional able-bodied soccer.
Favorite thing about soccer: "I love the freedom and I love feeling alive on the field."

Carlos Ayala

Carlos has played soccer for 23 years and joined the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team in 2018. He lost part of his leg in the 2011 Salvadorean earthquake.

Craig Till
Defense
Craig has been playing soccer for 7 years and joined the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team in 2017. He lost part of his leg when he was 16 after being born with a bone disease called congenital pseudarthrosis.
Favorite thing about soccer: "I love that no matter what language you speak, everyone can play soccer. The world can take a note or two from adaptive athletes, especially soccer.

Dan Broome
Defense
Dan has been playing soccer for 30 years and joined the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team in 1988. Dan lost part of his leg when he was 18 in an industrial factory accident. Dan also plays sled hockey.
Favorite thing about soccer: "Soccer has always been my favorite sport. I had never heard of the sport until 6th grade when I saw a video of Pelé juggling oranges and doing bicycle kicks. I’ve loved the sport ever since."

Foday Dumbuya
Midfield
Foday has been playing soccer for 28 years and joined the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team in 2010. Foday lost part of his leg when he was 12 as a result of The Sierra Leone Civil War.
Favorite thing about soccer: "I love soccer because it brings people together."

Ignacio "Nacho" Medrano

Ignacio “Nacho” has been playing soccer for 27 years and joined the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team in 1991. Nacho lost part of his leg due to bone cancer when he was 27. In addition to soccer, Nacho is involved with sled hockey, sit-down volleyball, swimming and wheelchair basketball.
Favorite thing about soccer: "I love the competitive aspects of the game."
Jason Evans

Jason has been playing soccer for 33 years and joined the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team in 2018. He lost part of his leg when he was 8 due to osteosarcoma. In addition to soccer, Jason plays sled hockey
Favorite thing about soccer: "I love that soccer brings out creativity, teamwork and camaraderie in a way that no other sport does. It's the universal language. It's also such a strategic game, because you're always thinking three steps ahead. The more you anticipate, the better you are."

Josh has been playing soccer for 15 years and joined the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team in 2014. He lost his left leg when he was 10 to a rare bone cancer, Ewing’s sarcoma. In addition to soccer, Josh is a former ski-racer and enjoys hiking and cycling

Nicolai “Nico” has been playing soccer for 20 years and joined the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team in 2010. Nico was “born lucky” without one of his legs. In addition to soccer, Nico enjoys wrestling, volleyball, skiing and mountain climbing

Robert has been playing soccer for 32 years and joined the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team in 2016. He lost part of his leg in a military training accident at Ft. Hood when he was 30 after proudly serving the United States in two overseas tours
