The Women's Game

Amputee soccer has never had a gender requirement for play.  The sport was developed to be as inclusive as possible for all individuals living with limb difference.  Thus, since the inception of the sport men and women played on the same pitch - even in international competitions.  Recently, on the World stage there has been more motivation for women to have a "game of their own".  The AASA is working hard to identify and develop players to compete in the women's game. In 2023, AASA has made developing the woman's game one of it's top priorities.
